The Saturna Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to address questions from resident Mairead Boland about a groundwater study, after the issue was raised during town hall at its May 19 meeting.[1]

The adopted minutes say Boland raised concerns about water-use information in the third Groundwater Solutions report and asked for technical review before regulations were decided. The committee’s request for staff to address her questions carried.[1]

The minutes also record a motion requesting a report at the next regular meeting and a presentation by the Senior Fresh Water Specialist on the groundwater study; the motion was not voted on.[1]

In the meeting recording, Chair Patrick said, “I know he said he was preparing a response to you.”[2]
