The Saturna Island Local Trust Committee directed staff to advertise for up to five members of an Advisory Planning Commission to address road infrastructure issues on the island.[1]
The committee discussed how to address road infrastructure issues before passing the motion at its Oct. 19 meeting.[1]
Trustee Mairead Boland said there was a need for an advisory panel focused on traffic and roadway infrastructure that could be a contact point for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and a source of information for islanders.[1]
