The Saturna Island Local Trust Committee voted to write Island Health stating its support for water catchment, in accordance with provincial guidelines, as proof of potable water in subdivision and development applications. [1]
Trustee Mairead Boland referenced a conversation with a community member who said Island Health had not acknowledged water catchment as their chosen method of proof of water during a subdivision application process. [1]
The committee’s motion said its support was in accordance with the committee’s standing resolution. [1]
